Man Injures Hand While Working on Vehicle

A man working on a vehicle at the Gulf Station at the corner of Glen Cove Avenue and Cross Street in Sea Cliff was taken to the hospital with a severed thumb shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The nature of the accident and condition of the victim were not known at the time of publication, but police said an ambulance from the Sea Cliff Fire Department was called to the scene and transported the victim to Glen Cove Hospital.
