No One Injured in Marietta Road House Fire

Exact cause of Sunday night blaze still unknown.

A massive house fire broke out at 22 Marietta Road in Glen Cove Sunday night.

The Glen Cove Fire Department received a call at 8:44 p.m. from a neighbor that the home was in flames. The fire was controlled and the scene cleared by 11:30 p.m. with mutual aid from Sea Cliff, Glenwood, Locust Valley, and Oyster Bay fire departments.

No one was home at the time and no one was injured in the fire. Because of the fire department's quick response, most of the house is still intact. The scene was under the command of 1st Assistant Chief Joe Solomito.

The exact cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office.
