Police Seek Help Learning Cause of Loud Blast

Glen Cove Police seek the public’s help in tracking down the source of several explosive sounds heard in Glen Cove Thursday between 12-12:45 a.m.

On the Glen Cove Patch Boards, several readers posted that they heard as many as four explosions at locations that seemed to come from the Dosoris Avenue area, or perhaps at the Webb Institute or Finley Middle School.

Police said the explosions came at the same time as they were responding to a possible double stabbing.
