Robbery Charges for Teens Who Stole Dollar in Sea Cliff

Police: Man threatened with screwdriver Wednesday at Gulf Station on Glen Cove Ave.

Two teens face felony robbery charges after they threatened a person with a screwdriver and stole one dollar from the victim at a gas station in Sea Cliff Wednesday, according to Nassau County Police.

Paul Gabriel, 18, of Greenvale, and Peter Vandoros, 18, of Glen Head, were involved in an incident at the Gulf Station at 700 Glen Cove Ave. in Sea Cliff at 7:05 p.m., police said.

Gabriel is accused of using the screwdriver to threaten a 21-year-old male, who was with his 23-year-old sister, and taking the dollar. Vandoros allegedly stood by yelling.

The teens fled the scene in a Hyundai and were apprehended a short time later at Glen Head Road and Mill Road in Glen Head, said police.

Each is being charged with first-degree and second-degree robbery. They will be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
