Runaway Teens Found at House Party

Mother of home charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

Two 14-year-old brothers reported missing last week were found at a house party on Hill Street on Friday night, according to police.

Police found "enough 15- and 16-year-olds to fill a classroom," said detective Gerald Williams in a press release.

The two missing teens had been reported missing by their father several days before the party, police said. They were found inside the house, and police determined that one required medical attention for excessive intoxication. He was taken to Glen Cove Hospital.

Police said they found beer, liquor and marijuana in the house.

The parents of each teen in attendence were called to pick up their children.

Margaret Shencavitz, 44, the mother of the 14-year-old boy who threw the party, was charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor.

The Glen Cove police should not be able to leak information to the local bs paper and spread lies about people. I have not been convicted of anything. I was not even aware of any party nor was I home for the party. Instead of helping me get the kids out of my home the police arrested me. You should mot print anything unless you have all of the facts!!!

The article doesn't say you were convicted, ma'am, but if you have information that has not been made available to us, please email me personally.
