A total of six people were taken to the hospital Wednesday following two separate car accidents, according to Glen Cove EMS chief Matt Venturino.
A 58-year-old driver was hurt when their car struck a utility pole on Sea Cliff Ave. near the Sea Cliff Train Station around 7 a.m.
Glen Cove EMS and Glen Cove Police responded to find the driver safely outside the vehicle. The person was taken to North Shore University Hospital suffering from a shoulder injury, Venturino said.
The Long Island Power Authority was notified of the damaged pole. No power loss was reported.
The second collision involved three vehicles at the intersection of Glen Cove Ave. and Burns Ave. at 5:18 p.m., Venturino said.

Five female occupants ranging in age from 14 to 36 were treated at the scene before being transported to North Shore University Hospital with minor injuries.
Two Glen Cove EMS ambulances and one from the Glenwood Fire Company responded to the crash.
