Tell Us: Powerless in Glen Cove

Do you have power?

It's been 12 days since Hurricane Sandy hit, and Glen Cove has 1,201 customers still without power as of 1:35 p.m. Friday, according to the Long Island Power Authority. Glen Head has 566, Glenwood Landing has 353 and Upper Brookville has 162, with numbers in double-digits listed for Sea Cliff and Locust Valley

With temperatures below 50 degrees and dipping to near-freezing Friday night, and with specific information from LIPA somewhere between hard to come by and nonexistant, residents are at a loss as to when the ordeal will end.

Are you without power? Do you know an area that is? Tell us in the comments section, and share your thoughts and experiences.

I think the best course of action would be to contact any board member (their emails are listed) andRead More see what he or she has to say about it. That's one source that I would find reliable on this.
