News of the tragedy at a Colorado theater during the opening of the new Batman movie had parked outside local theaters over the weekend.
The reaction sparked some debate on Patch. Reader Curt questioned the threat: "So the police moved resources away from places they would otherwise be used to stand in front of a movie theater," he pointed out.
Others called the response the right move, for safety and for peace of mind.
