Most recent case reported Thursday, county health officials said.

Nassau officials confirmed a seventh human case of West Nile Virus in 2013 on Thursday.

A woman from the Town of Hempstead was confirmed to have West Nile virus, which was contracted during a warm spell in October, according to the Nassau County Department of Health.

Officials do not expect to see additional onsets in 2013, given that November already has seen “quite a few days of frost,” said Mary Ellen Laurain, director of communications at the county’s health department.
