Lavine Opens Summer Internship Program to Local Students

Students with an interest in public service may want to apply for a summer internship with Assemb. Charles Lavine, D-Glen Cove, who represents the 13th District.

Interns will participate in weekly think-tank meetings with Lavine, and conduct research on state and national issues, and engage in roundtable discussions to exchange ideas.

In addition, they will enjoy field trips to the Nassau County Legislature and Glen Cove City Council to learn more about the local state of affairs and visit significant sites throughout the area, including Sagamore Hill, the home of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th the United States, from 1885 until his death in 1919.
