City: Conserve Water Usage
Glen Cove authorities continue restrictions on watering lawns and car washing until further notice.
With the weekend almost here, Glen Cove authorities reminded residents again Thursday that water use restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
Mayor Ralph Suozzi implemented the temporary bans in the city last week after Long Island began experiencing a drought.
According to the National Weather Service, slight showers should hit the city Thursday before 8 p.m., and heavy rains will follow Friday around noon.

City officials say, however, that residents still may not water their lawns or wash their cars until the restrictions are lifted.
