City Council to Vote on PILOP Fee

Wat do you think of the city's planned fee structure for new large businesses downtown?

The Glen Cove City Council is in the final stages of fee structure that would charge mid- to large-sized businesses moving into the city's downtown a one-time fee in return for use of the city's parking facilities.

The fee would offset the cost of building new parking stalls currently required for those incoming businesses whose customer volume would necessitate additional parking - a cost of $13,000 or $35,000 per space depending on the size of the incoming business, according to city planner Max Stach.
