How to Register to Vote in Nassau County

The November elections are right around the corner, so make sure you're registered.

Nassau County residents will be flooding the voting booths in November as election season quickly approaches. 

However, some residents might not be registered to vote. Don't worry because Patch has you covered.

According to the Nassau County Board of Elections, residents have the following options to register to vote:

  • You can register in person at the Nassau County Board of Elections
  • or at any New York State Agency-Based voter registration center.
  • You can call our 1-800-FOR-VOTE hotline to request a voter application.
  • You can download a PDF version of the New York State Voter Registration Form:

  2. Download Spanish Form

Print the form, complete and sign it, and mail it to us at:

For mail-in registrations, be sure to have it post-marked no later than Oct. 12. However, you may register in person at the Board of Elections until Oct. 26. For more information on voter registration deadlines, visit the New York State Board of Elections.

As for your specific party enrollment, the board of elections recommends the following:

If you wish to change your enrollment from one party to another or from not-enrolled to a party, send a Voter Registration Form with your new choice to your county board of elections. The board will notify you when the change takes place, by Law, after the next general election.
