Landmarks Preservation Commission to Meet Wednesday

TOBAY commission recommends historical sites for preservation.

The next scheduled meeting of the Town of Oyster Bay Landmark Preservation Commission will take place Wednesday, Jan. 9, according to Councilman Chris Coschignano.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Town Board Hearing Room of Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay.

The commission was formed in 1974 to recommend sites which have historical, architectural or antiquarian significance for preservation. It is comprised of seven members.

There are currently 37 buildings, a railroad turntable and one cemetery with Town landmark status.

  • The Town Clerk's Office begins issuing new waste removal permits Monday.
  • Series 3 of the Town's Learn to Skate program at the TOB Ice Skating Center begins Monday. Call 516-797-4126.
  • The Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall North is open until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

This is an excellent way to get rid of every pill/elixir or whatever that you no longer use. VeryRead More simple, drive in drop your stuff in the receptacle and leave. Great program and good job to those running it.
