Big plans are in the works for the City of Glen Cove Senior Recognition Day on Saturday in Village Square.
The program includes live music by the Les Stanco Group, food, and a variety of vendors. Two Glen Cove residents will be honored. Carolyn Willson will be receive the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award and Janina Jania has earned the Volunteer of the Year award. Assemb. Charles Lavine will receive the “Bob Howard Leadership Award.” An additional highlight of the day will be the honoring of the community’s centenarians.
Mayor Reginald Spinello, the Glen Cove City Council, and the Senior Recognition Day Committee will also be in attendance. In the event of rain, the festivities will be held at the Glen Cove Senior Center on Glen Street.Find out what's happening in Glen Covewith free, real-time updates from Patch.
