Natalie Portman Rumored to Speak at DNC Thursday

The former Solomon Schechter Day School student is scheduled to appear with Scarlett Johansson and Kerry Washington, report says.

Actress Natalie Portman, who once called Glen Cove her stomping grounds as a student at the Solomon Schechter Day School, is expected to take the same stage as President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention Thursday, according to a CNN.com report.

The report states that Portman, 31, was secretly scheduled to appear alongside fellow Hollywood A-listers Scarlett Johansson and Kerry Washington, although none of the actresses' publicists confirmed.

They are expected to follow The Foo Fighters.

The appearance is according to a tentative schedule provided to CNN and could be subject to change.

The three actresses each supported Obama publicly in 2008, and could appeal to key demographics the Democrats are aiming for: women, young people and African-Americans.

Portman began attending Solomon Schechter Day School after moving to Long Island with her family in 1990. She graduated from Syosset High School in 1999.

Later, she had a house in Sea Cliff until she sold it in 2007.

I think the best course of action would be to contact any board member (their emails are listed) andRead More see what he or she has to say about it. That's one source that I would find reliable on this.
