No School Friday and Other Cancellations

A list of cancellations in Glen Cove in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

A number of meetings and events have been cancelled as the City of Glen Cove works to fix Hurricane Sandy's destruction.

Here's our list. Please add your own event information, or leave questions, in the comments section, and we'll follow up.

Thursday

  • Soccer games at City Stadium have been tentatively rescheduled for Nov. 7.
  • The Town Hall Meeting at Knights of Columbus

Friday

  • Glen Cove City Schools are confirmed closed.
  • Soccer games at City Stadium are tentatively rescheduled for Nov. 9.

Saturday

  • Soccerfest has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10. 
  • The Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce Gala celebration has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17.

Sunday

  • The city's Pet Parade has been cancelled for this year.
  • The Tikkun Alliance coat distribution program has been postponed until further notice.
