Oyster Bay Offers Free Firewood for Residents
Oyster Bay Notebook: Town sets 2014 meeting schedule.
Town will have free firewood available for town residents beginning Friday, Dec. 13.
The program continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through
mid-March, at the Town Highway yard, 150 Miller Place, Syosset, after 3 p.m. on Friday and between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday,
The wood is cut, but not split. No vehicles with commercial plates will be permitted.

Residents can sign up for Zumba, Yoga
Residents can sign up this week for adult co-rd zumba, yoga and cardio kickboxing programs. The programs are open to town residents 18 and older, and will be held at the Town of Oyster Bay Hicksville Athletic Center.
The programs, which are 12 weeks in duration beginning in January, are $60 for residents and $70 for non-residents. Proof of residency is required.
Registration will take place at the athletic center on Broadway in Hicksville Tuesday Dec. 10 and Thursday Dec. 12 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 14. from 9 a.m.-noon. After that, registration will continue based on availability.

Town sets meeting dates for 2014
The Town Board has approved a schedule of meeting dates for 2014: They are;
- Jan. 7, Jan. 21
- Feb. 4, Feb. 25
- March 11,March 25
- April 8, April 22
- May 6, May 20
- June 3, June 17
- July 8, July 22
- Aug. 5,
- Sept. 2 Sept. 30,
- Oct. 14 (budget hearings, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
- Nov. 18
- Dec. 16
All meetings are held on Tuesdays in the hearing room of Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Avenue. The meetings are at 10 a.m. unless otherwise noted.
Town Board agenda are available at all public libraries. The agenda is also posted on the Town’s website, www.oysterbaytown.com, the Friday before the meeting.
