Local man receives award for leadership.
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano was joined by several local officials to present Michael Hallquest, an ex-chief with the Sea Cliff Fire Department, with an award honoring his leadership skills.
The vice-president of JetBlue Airways, Richard Smythe, also presented Hallquest with an award: a roundtrip airline ticket.
