Residents invited to attend Glen Cove's Veteran's Day ceremony outside library.
The City of Glen Cove is inviting community members to its Veteran's Day ceremony in front of the Glen Cove Public Library Sunday at 11 a.m.
Vietnam veteran Scott Whitting is the city's 2012 Veteran's Day nominee.
The ceremony will take place in front of the Doughboy Monument next to the library, in commemoration of "a day in which we honor all of those who have sacrificed so much for our country and our freedom," the city said.
