Poll: Budget Vote, Board Elections Next Week

Will you be voting?

Glen Cove City Schools' Board of Education presented its budget at a hearing Tuesday, where single-digit attendance was interpreted as a sign of a budget vote that will see low voter turnout.

The May 15 vote will be to pass or reject the 2012-2013 school budget, which represents a tax levy increase that the board , as well as an election to fill three seats on the board.

Two board members, David Huggins and Gail Nedbor-Gross, are up for reelection.
