Voters did not approve a plan to build a new arena for Long Island's NHL Franchise. What now?

The New York Islanders' future on Long Island appears bleak. 

A $400 million refferendum to build a new arena for the NHL franchise was voted down on Monday.

The Isles' lease at the Nassau Coliseum expires in 2015 and what happens next is unclear.

There have been plenty of rumors. They could leave town and head for places like Quebec City or Kansas City. They could stay close to home and possibly move to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which is set to open next year.  There's even been talk about a move to Queens.

Or they can still try to make it work in Nassau County.
