With Verizon FIOS coming to Glen Cove, will you make the switch?
When it comes to choosing a cable company, Glen Cove residents will soon have a choice.
That’s because the Glen Cove City Council voted 5-2 in approving a cable franchise to Verizon FIOS.
“Cablevision has been a good corporate citizen all these years, but we can’t deny our residents the benefits of competition and choice,” Mayor Reginald Spinello said, in a press release.

“I was contacted by many residents who simply wanted the ability to choose the cable service that best suited their needs,” he added.
