Town Code Amendments Hearing Continues Tuesday

Bamboo, storm water management and tree removal to be discussed.

The Oyster Bay Town Board will continue its hearing on new zoning regulations at its meeting Tuesday, according to the Town.

"Discussion on a number of amendments to the Town Code will continue at the Sept. 4 meeting, including regulations pertaining to the growing of bamboo on both residential and commercial property, storm water management and erosion and sediment control, and the removal of trees on private property," said Councilman Chris J. Coschignano in a statement on the Town's website.

The hearing opened on August 14.

Tuesday's meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the Hearing Room of Town Hall North.

Reminders for the week:

  • Fee collection at all boat launching ramps ends Monday.
  • Fall senior programs and clubs resume Tuesday.
  • The fall schedule is in effect at TOB Ice Skating Center beginning Tuesday.
  • Monday's sanitation and recycling collections will be made Tuesday, and Tuesday's regular collections will be made Wednesday.
