Town Councilmen Help With Hurricane Clothing Drive

St. Edwards the Confessor in Syosset and carpenters union organized effort.

A clothing drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy was held this week at St. Edward the Confessor in Syosset.

Town of Oyster Bay councilmen Chris Coschignano and Anthony Macagnone assisted the effort.

The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters Local 290 coordinated delivery of the goods to homeowners who suffered major property loss during the hurricane.

Reminders for the week:

  • Thursday sanitation collections will be made Friday.
  • The TOB Ice Skating Center in Bethpage will be closed Thursday, but extended sessions will be held Friday.
  • Marjorie R. Post and Syosset-Woodbury Community Park Ice Rinks open for the 2012-2013 season.

This is an excellent way to get rid of every pill/elixir or whatever that you no longer use. VeryRead More simple, drive in drop your stuff in the receptacle and leave. Great program and good job to those running it.
