Video: Memorial Day Parade Shines in Glen Cove

Residents commemorate Memorial Day.

Spectators came out in droves for the 2011 Glen Cove Memorial Day on Monday.

The ceremony began at 11 a.m. at Monument Park (North Lane and School Street) and included the honoring the memory of Glen Cove veterans, and a salute to this year’s honoree, Daniel Casey.

The parade commenced at noon, stepping off from Cottage Row and Forest Avenue and proceeding down School Street to Glen Street, turning at Pulaski Street and at the arterial highway, passing the reviewing stand at the and ending at Charles Street.
