With just under a month until this year's general election of the city's mayor and council positions, Mayor Ralph Suozzi and his team are back again to stand for re-election.
This year marks Suozzi's fourth campaign for re-election after three consecutive terms.
"We've made a tremendous contribution to the city," said Mayor Suozzi. "We've lowered the deficit by about $9 million, we've brought in grants, new non-taxpayer sources of revenue, and we've managed the growth of the city very well."
Suozzi's ticket includes incumbents Sean Dwyer, Nick DiLeo, Tony Jimenez, Tim Tenke, Michael Famiglietti, and newcomer Martin Carmody, all endorsed by the Democratic Party.
