When Will My Street Be Plowed?

City of Glen Cove says plows are on their fourth run.

After the snow, if there were one pressing question by Glen Cove residents, it’s this: when will my street be plowed?

Here’s the snow response update from the City of Glen Cove:

"Last night and into today the Department of Public Works crews continue to clear the roads. No roads are closed. The crews have already made three passes and are on their fourth run. Our First Responders as always are at the ready.

We have 22 pieces if equipment and 38 workers on the job.

We have used approximate 450 tons of sand and salt mix. More will be used as needed. They are continuing to plow as the snow let's up.

Last night there were no visitors to the warming center, however it remains open throughout today staffed with Senior Center staff as well as CERT trained volunteers. The Senior Center is located at 130 Glen Street.

As of 4:30am we had 12 outages at homes along Watersedge and Red Spring Lane. Mayor Reginald Spinello spoke to PSE&G and they expect to restore service by Noon today. The cause was a blown fuse and the holder on a rear pole."
