Marine Makes a Classroom Visit
Connolly Elementary School students get to chat with a U.S. soldier
Fifth-grade students at Connolly Elementary School were given a special visit on Jan. 20 by Lance Corporal Brian Monahan, a Marine who recently finished his tour of duty in Afghanistan. Monahan spoke to the youngsters about his experience during his recent eight-month tour to fight against the Taliban, and coping with the temperature, which was as high as 140 degrees. The students then participated in a question and answer session.
