Community Invited to PTA Scholarship Brunch

March 10 event will honor retired Glen Cove High School teacher Deborah Butler Pearsall.

The Glen Cove Council of PTA's is inviting community members to its March 10 Sunday Brunch fundraiser for its Community Scholarship Fund.

The event will be held at The Swan Club in Roslyn from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Retired Glen Cove High School teacher and former DECA advisor Deborah Butler Pearsall is this year's honoree. Pearsall led the school's DECA chapter to numerous awards. The group prepares students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

Contribution tickets cost $68 per person. All proceeds will go toward the Glen Cove Community Scholarship Fund for the high school's Class of 2013. The scholarship has been awarded to deserving Glen Cove High School seniors since 1958.

Those interested in attending can download and complete the flyer on the district's homepage.
