DA Investigates Glen Cove Schools

Investigation grows over allegations of test 'coaching' elementary school students.

The Nassau County district attorney's office confirmed to Patch that it is investigating alleged testing improprieties in the Glen Cove School District, but declined to comment further.

The school district announced April 8 that it has been looking into a matter of "the integrity of standardized testing procedure and administration" since November.

A statement posted on the district's website Thursday said there were allegations of test "coaching" third, fourth and fifth graders at Connolly and Landing elementary schools, and said there was "no reason to believe" anything criminal transpired. The statement has since been removed.
