Glen Cove High School Graduation

It might be a good idea to have a day when the community is invited, indeed encouraged, to come for an Open House at the High School. The day should include guided tours of the building, talks about the history, activities, teachers, staff and students. There should be refreshments, perhaps prepared, in part, by the Home Economics Department. There could be art and music presentations, opportunities for the public to interact with questions and comments. It might take some of the steam out of budget arguments. If the public truly felt like this is a community resource for the entire community, not just the teens, then maybe the entire community might get behind it and want to share in supporting it. Just a thought.
