Glen Cove Voters Pass Budget, Re-Elect Incumbents Plus Brady

School district's $74.1 million budget passed by nearly 2-1 margin Tuesday.

' $74.1 million budget was passed with Tuesday's vote, and school board incumbents David Huggins and Gail Nedbor-Gross retained their seats while newcomer Donna Brady was elected trustee, according to the district's final tally.

The budget passed by 67 percent, 930-455.

Brady received the most votes of any candidate, with 954. Nedbor-Gross got 929 and Huggins received 719.

Challengers Eric Bailey and Grace Slezak were defeated, garnering 621 votes and 519 votes, respectively.

"I'm blown away," Brady said. "Thanks to the people who came out to vote. Thanks for such a strong 'yes' on the budget vote, and I really hope to live up to this vote of confidence."
