Gribbin Elementary School in Glen Cove recently held its annual Spring Concert. Directed by music teacher JoAnn Criblez, students in kindergarten through second grade performed a variety of folk songs, classic numbers from the 1950s and hits from later decades for hundreds of parents, friends and teachers.
Criblez dedicated the first graders' selection of "Jumping Jack Flash" to Gribbin Principal Francine Santoro, who was said to be a big fan of the "Rolling Stones."
The Glen Cove High School's television studio was on hand during the event to stream the concert live through the district's Web site for the public to see.
