High School's Beebe Named Basketball Season's MVP
Star junior recognized at winter sports awards night.
Glen Cove High School junior Kewan Beebe received the basketball team's Most Valuable Player award Tuesday at the school's winter sports awards night for a season in which he averaged more than 18 points per game.
"He was thrilled," said Carla D'Ambra, Beebe's gaurdian. "He was surprised because he was a junior - he thought a senior would get it."
D'Ambra said Beebe had been upset after the team lost their playoff game against Jericho High School on February 22.
