Glen Cove was the subject of a few jabs.

"It's got to be the new roadway setup we have," said Hank Hardy, a parishioner at St. Patricks who opened the show. "There's double lines over by the fast food restaurants, so now everybody's breaking the law to get a cheeseburger!"

Hardy said that the comedy night was one function of many at the school, which holds an annual fashion show, a service and goods auction and other attractions to help raise money for its programs. It also helps fund scholarships for families who need assistance with tuition.
