Five things to know about or do today in Glen Cove.

1. The 's History Room opens today starting at 9 a.m.
2. Children ages 2 - 4 years are invited to followed by the painting of a large egg at the Glen Cove Public Library, 10:30 a.m.
3. Glen Cove Public Library's is at 2 p.m. in the building's Community Room.
4. Glen Cove High School's New York State School Music Association festival runs from 3:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
5. Don't miss the dance parties in celebration of Glen Cove's of the nation's 100 Best Communities for Young People, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the middle school's cafeteria for grades 5 and lower; grades 6 and up start at 7 p.m.
