March 22: Rotary Mobility Drive and a Connolly Fundraiser

Five things to know about or do today in Glen Cove.

  1. The history room is open at the from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  2. The Locust Valley Rotary Club will be collecting unwanted walkers, canes, wheelchairs and crutches to ship to India. The "" will be held at the Glen Head Public Library Annex at 11 a.m.
  3. Children grades 1 and 2 are invited to the Gold Coast Public Library at 4 p.m. for , featuring "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day," with juice, snacks and a discussion of the book.
  4. It's casino night at the Swan Club for Connolly Elementary School's spring fundraiser, Parent Night Out. For $65 you get some funny money to get the gambling started, a buffet dinner and top shelf open bar. The event runs from 7 - 10 p.m.
  5. It's NCAA college-bound student athlete night at at 7 p.m.
