Photo of the Day: Pig Makes Appearance at Landing School

Students squealed with delight as their principal angled for a kiss with the domesticated hog.

Students and staff at Landing Elementary School enjoyed a special visitor Monday morning.

The kids completed a reading challenge this month, for which the prize was getting to watch interim principal Martin Malone kiss a pig.

Junk, a one-and-a-half-year-old pot-bellied pig, played hard to get as Malone made his advances. The principal finally landed a smooch on Junk's head, and students lined up to file past the animal for a quick pet.
