Photo of the Day: 'Souper Bowl' Champs at Gribbin

Youngsters collect food for donation to pantry.

Students at recently held their own “Souper Bowl.” However, the goal was not to amass touchdowns, but rather food for those less fortunate. Coordinated by school social worker Kristin Brosnan, the school-wide drive encouraged Gribbin students to collect cans of soup and other non-perishable items for donation to a local food pantry. Souper Bowl is a national effort to capitalize on the hype created around the NFL’s Super Bowl by mobilizing youngsters to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities. Pictured here are some Gribbin students displaying the food collected by them and their classmates.
