Students Collaborate to Celebrate Dr. Seuss Anniversary
Landing fourth-graders travel to Deasy for literacy project.
Fourth-graders in Allison Hernandez's class at Landing Elementary School spent time with first-graders at Deasy Elementary School this week to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of Dr. Seuss's first book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
The Landing students read the book to their younger partners and helped them author their own endings to the story, which is about a boy dreaming up a tall tale to tell his father after a walk down their street.
Teacher Meryl Gordon's first-graders met the Landing students in Deasy's Discovery Cove Learning Center.
