Whiz Kid: Will Casale

Welcome to our new feature, Whiz Kids, which will highlight the accomplishments of young people in Glen Cove. Our initial Whiz Kid could be the next big Hollywood director.

Name: Will Casale, age 10

About Will: He shoots and edits his own secret agent movies, and other action and adventure movies, using iMovie. Will said that he used to make films both in school and at home, but now he practices his movie-making on his own time. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Will makes movies to entertain his family and friends and sometimes even posts them on YouTube. Will said that he hopes ot be a director when he grows up.

Key to Awesomeness: "I think that I am awesome because I think it is extraordinary that a kid like me would create movies like these. It's one thing if a kid is making movies, but my movies are very creative and realistic," Will said. "I think I am good at what I do because I put a lot of effort into my movies. Since I write, act in, direct, and edit the movie, I work very hard. I am also very patient with my movies because once I made a movie that took 2 months to make! I also think I'm good at what I do because my movie ideas are usually my original ideas."
