WCWP will kick off the evening with the Pioneer Tip-off at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Otero, featuring an interview with Chris Casey, second year Head Coach for Pioneers. “This is a big deal for C.W. Post basketball,” said Soldano “it is a great chance for our team to step up to the Division I level.”

This game will prove to be a challenge for the Pioneers. The Red Storm, a Big East conference team, made it to the NCAA Division I tournament last year. The Pioneers went 21-10 last season and earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament. This game provides the Pioneers with the opportunity to play up and gain Division I experience.

The Pioneers are hoping to see big plays from returning point guard Stefan Boneau. Boneau averaged 19 points per game last season and earned East Coast Conference Player of the Year. The team will also be looking to starter Tobin Carberry, a junior on the team, who averaged 10 points per game last season.

Pioneer fans that cannot attend the game can listen into 88.1 FM or WCWPsports.org. Fans can also look for the crew on SNY, where the game will also be featured. WCWP sports will be sure listeners get full coverage on what looks to be an exciting game.
