After a 71-45 loss to Great Neck North on Friday, . Floral Park defeated the Big Red, 84-57, on Jan. 4. Thursdays game – originally set for Tuesday – had been rescheduled due to inclement weather.
In the debacle at Great Neck North, the Big Red were dominated by Ariel Mardkhai, who had 12 of his game-high 14 points in the first half, along with his nine rebounds for the 3-5 Great Neck North team. Mauro Carignano had 13 points and Yadiyah Letellier added 10 points in the loss for the Big Red.

The 9-2 Floral Park Knights (6-1 in conference play) are in second place in the Conference A-III and are coming off of a 54-43 loss to Chaminade High School last Tuesday. Justin Wilson had a game high 17 points and Justin McIntosh had 16 points in the loss for the Knights. Chaminade’s Richard Zoller had 8 points and 11 rebounds.
