Glen Cove High School's pride was in full swing this weekend, beginning with a pep rally Friday that led into Saturday's homecoming parade and football game.
Glen Cove took down South Side 39-27 as fans, many with red-and-green-dyed hair, cheered the home team from the stands.
Floats representing the district's different schools formed a procession that snaked its way from Gribbin Elementary School to the high school field.

The Booster Club cut the ribbon on the high school's new concession stand before the game, and the air was thick with the smell of hot dogs and hamburgers for the duration.
