Glen Cove Football Takes Down Bethpage

Big Red defeats Bethpage 28-20.

Glen Cove's football team defeated Bethpage Saturday, bringing Big Red to 6-1 for the season.

Both teams had two touchdowns in the first half, with Bethpage edging out Glen Cove by one point at the end of the second quarter with a score of 13-14.

The third quarter saw Ryan Perkins make a big return, and Glen Cove scored a rushing touchdown to make it 21-14.

Anthony Famiglietti made it to the end zone in the fourth and Glen Cove made its field goal, bringing the score to 28-14. A touchdown by Bethpage brought the score to 28-20, where it remained as the clock ran out to end the game.

Next week Glen Cove travels to North Shore High School for a 1:30 p.m. start.
