GMA Students Compete in New York State Karate Tournament
Sensei Hender Alvarado joined students of Gold Martial Arts in Glen Cove as they competed against over 500 students from Tri-State area.

Through hand-to-foot combat, students scored big in Ruiz's 2011 Goshin Ryu Invitational on March 6, under the leadership of five-time National Champion Sensei Hender Alvarado.
The Tournament was held at the Island Garden Arena in West Hempstead.

Michael Cavese earned a Silver Medal in Kumite (Sparring); Melissa Cavese won a Bronze Medal inKumite (Sparring); Arlin Zavala took home a Bronze Medal in Kumite (Sparring); and Nick Rogers achieved a Bronze Medal in Kumite (Sparring). Jessica O’Brien competed valiantly as well, according to Alvarado.
