Here's a look at what's happening today and throughout the weekend in Glen Cove.
1. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 6 a.m. until midnight. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible. Expect a few morning showers with a high of 43. Saturday is forecast to be windy with highs in the mid 30s. By Sunday, there will be more sun than clouds but with a chillier high of 29.
2. Big Red Sports: Glen Cove takes on Manhasset at home at 4:30 p.m. Also at home tonight is . They face off against Valley Stream South at 7 p.m.
3. ’s David Levine and Phil Essex are featured in Hicksville United Methodist Church’s upcoming production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” CTI has reserved a block of seats for the Saturday night performance at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.
