For the first time in school history, a Schreiber High School bowling team member rolled a 300, according to the school district website. Jameson Santelli, a senior, recorded the perfect score in the second game of a recent 644-597, 738-536, 659-594 victory against Manhasset High School.

Syosset won big at the first competition of the season held by the Long Island Kickline Association on Dec. 15.
College sports teams from all around the country are going to add the talents of Massapequa athletes next year. Thirty two athletes from the Massapequa School District have signed Letters of Intent to participate in sports at the Division I level.
The Hewlett Bulldogs are the winners of the Sprig Gardner Tournament. Patch reader Mitchell Greebel posted this great news to the Patch boards: "With his wrestling team fresh off their third place finish at the always tough Long Beach, Battle at the Beach, Coach Stephen Jones was extremely confident of how his team was going to perform at the Sprig Gardner Tournament.”
Commack Resident Named Rookie Referee of the Year
During Long Island Junior Soccer League games, it’s Commack resident Claire Drotman calling the shots. Drotman, along with Benjamin Schnell of Northport, was recently named the Emrys Joseph Rookie Referee of the Year.
Sayville Toy Drive Fun Run Draws Surprise Holiday Guests
The Sayville Running Company doesn't let frigid temperatures or a little snow get in the way of some holiday fun. The Main Street retailer held what it calls a "little toy drive fun run" this weekend that was a "prediction run." Everyone donated a toy, and guessed what their time was going to be for the four-mile run.
Maysonet Joins Redskins Practice Squad
Former Stony Brook University running back, Miguel Maysonet, was signed to the Washington Redskins practice squad Tuesday. According to Newsday, Washington is the sixth NFL team for Maysonet.
Hamptons Collegiate Baseball Team Will Call Montauk Home
A seventh team, the first in the Town of East Hampton, has joined the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League. The Montauk Mustangs will compete against teams from the North Fork, Riverhead, Westhampton, Southampton, Sag Harbor (which play in Mashashimuet Park in the Town of Southampton) and Shelter Island for the 2014 league title beginning in early June.
