New Way to Say 'Ohm'

Indoor stand-up paddle yoga classes begin in April.

If you're looking for a new way to say "Ohm," consider indoor stand-up paddle yoga.

The practice strengthens core strength and balance using stabilizing muscles not normally used in other forms of yoga.

Registration is taking place now at the Roslyn JCC in East Hills for classes that begin in the first week of April. The classes are run through Koastal Paddle, headquarted in Port Washington.

The one-hour classes run Sundays, 6:15 p.m. Four sessions are $195 for non-JCC members, and $150 for members. To register, visit the JCC website
